Prior to ordering, please see here on how to check which version of teeth (20 or 25) your vehicle may have come with HERE. Typically, the 20 teeth versions are in MK5 models, and 25 teeth versions are in MK6 models however there is a MK5 crossover point whereby the MK5 came with 25 teth, so prior to ordering please check using the information on the above link. 

Please Note: This differential comes with ARP ring gear bolt kit. 

Wavetrac Differentials provide dramatically improved performance verses factory open differentials and even when installed into vehicles equipped with factory limited slip differentials. This improvement in performance comes from Wavetracs Patent Protected Automatic Torque Biasing Design (you won't find this in any other diff design on the market) which not only enables torque to be biased to the wheel with the most grip, but also overcomes the problem with other ATB designs on the market. 

The Problem: Loss of drive during zero, or nere zero axle-load conditions. 

Zero axle-load is a condition that occurs during normal driving, but creates the most noticeable problems when driving, as any enthusiast would. Zero or near-zero axle-load is the condition that exists when there is ‘no-load’ applied through the drivetrain, when one drive wheel is nearly or completely lifted (often in hard cornering). It also occurs during the transition from engine driving a vehicle to engine braking and back, even with both drive wheels firmly on the ground.

Here’s how that loss of drive reduces performance from a typical ATB LSD design:

1) If you lift a wheel, all gear diffs except Wavetrac®, will NOT power the other wheel.

2) During the transition from accel to decel, all gear diffs except Wavetrac®, do nothing.
